About Us
Our Story
We are two sisters who have always talked about everything around us being so wasteful. We hesitated to buy our favorite snacks in individual packaging as it would generate waste, we were troubled when we learnt that the paper we use and throw daily is responsible for so much deforestation, and how the Amazon Rainforest is being cut down to raise cattle and provide beef.
These issues are really big which made us feel so powerless until one day, we decided that we’re going to start small. After all, every big initiative started somewhere. And that was the beginning of our journey.
Our first initiative is to spread the word on how the meat industry is one of the biggest offenders when it comes to carbon emissions. We hope to introduce ‘Meatless Mondays’ in our school, our community and eventually the whole state of New Jersey.
As time goes on, we hope to continue our efforts to reverse climate change through community engagement, social media and our website simply-green.org.
